今（27日）下午約4時，荃灣警區特別職務隊聯同反三合會行動組，經深入調查後，於沙咀道391至407號寶業大廈一個約1700呎工廈單位搗破一個百家樂賭場，拘捕26名男女，其中一名21歲姓莊男子涉嫌經營賭博場所，其19歲胞弟及一名45歲姓謝女子則涉嫌協助經營賭博場所，9男14女（25至74歲）涉嫌在賭場內賭博，他們全部涉嫌違犯限聚令，警方會向他們發出定額罰款通知書。行動中，警方檢獲一張大型百家樂賭枱、136副啤牌、10萬元現金賭款及約35萬元籌碼。

荃灣警區特別職務隊第一隊案件主管何灝庭表示，被捕人士全部為香港身份證持有者，他們正被扣留調查，警方仍在調查他們是否有黑社會背景。涉案賭場24小時運作，經營約1個月，業主是否涉案有待調查，賭場有隔音設備，設有體溫探測儀器，毋須安全出行。
